Understanding your coverage and our responsibilities for a secure shipping experience.
Properly declaring the description and value of your items is crucial. This information is vital for two primary reasons: calculating customs duties and taxes, and determining the maximum liability coverage in case of loss or damage.
Ensures correct assessment of duties and taxes by customs officials in the destination country.
Sets the basis for liability coverage. Incorrect values can limit or void your protection.
Expedites the customs clearance process, avoiding potential delays and inspections.

The declared value of your items directly relates to Shipment Value Protection. Liability cannot exceed the actual or declared value of the items. We offer enhanced protection for your peace of mind.
All shipments are automatically covered for up to $100. If value protection is available and you do not purchase it, this is the maximum liability.
For items valued over $100, you can purchase additional Shipment Value Protection. EarthShip charges $6.00 minimum, and an additional $3.00 for every $100.00 of coverage purchased.
